Maurizio Zamparini PalermoPalermo President Maurizo Zamparini has stated his club’s interest of Avellino striker Marcello Trotta.

The 22-year-old grew through the ranks of the Fulham youth system before sealing a move back to the peninsula in January, but his impressive form hasn’t gone unnoticed and sparked the attention of Zamparini.

“We are interested, and we are working in this regard. I want to emphasize however, that the attack of the Rosanero today is full,” Zamparini told palermo24.net of his sides interest in Trotta.

Trotta would be a good addition, but we have excellent profiles in attacking areas.”

Trotta scored Avellino’s only goal in his side’s loss to the Rosanero earlier this month in the Coppa Italia clash at the Stadio Renzo Barbera.

The current transfer window closes on Monday night.
