Roma owner James Pallotta spoke to Roma Radio following his team’s important 2-1 victory over current champions Juventus.
The Giallorossi ensured that Juve remained without a win this season, as the two scudetto favourites clashed in a thrilling affair at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday.
Pallotta stated: “We had many injuries, now it is clear that we have become stronger and the victory was earned.
“I couldn’t stay still during the match as I feared the Bianconeri would equalise.
“Unfortunately, coach Garcia is often used as a scapegoat in hard times.”
Speaking about the protest staged by some fans, he said: “‘It saddens me to see the Curva Sud in this situation, but the club doesn’t have anything to do with it, we just want to win games.”
