Miralem Pjanic - Bosnia and HerzegovinaRoma midfielder Miralem Pjanic praised his new team-mate Edin Dzeko while stating that Juventus are still a formidable opponent despite the departures of some big names.

The Giallorossi will go head-to-head with the Old Lady in what is considered an early title showdown on Sunday evening.

“Juventus are still a great team,” said Pjanic to Roma TV.

“They have lost some of their most important players in [Andrea] Pirlo, [Carlos] Tevez and [Arturo] Vidal, but they have the experience and the desire to remain at the highest level.

“But the Bianconeri have done an excellent job in the transfer market and they’ll fight for the title.”

The 25-year-old went on to talk about fellow Bosnia and Herzogovina international, Dzeko, who joined the Lupi from Manchester City earlier this month.

“Dzeko will be an important player for us, he adds another dimension to our game and he played well against Hellas Verona,” Pjanic added.

“He is very happy, even before he signed we talked every day.

“He was determined to come here. He wanted Roma.”

Both Roma and Juventus will be seeking their first win of the season when they meet at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday at 18.00 CET.
