Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba has said he is honoured to have been given the number 10 shirt.
The Bianconeri announced that the Frenchman will wear the famous shirt, previously worn for the Italian champions by footballing legends Michel Platini, Roberto Baggio and Alessandro Del Piero, and Pogba is honoured to be following in their footsteps.
“It’s an honour for me to wear the number 10 shirt of Juventus after great players,” the 22-year-old said via the club’s Twitter account.
He will first wear it in the Supercoppa Italiana against Lazio on August 8, moving away from his previous number six shirt.
He replaces Argentine striker Carlos Tevez as the wearer of number 10, after he completed a transfer to Boca Juniors.
