Gervinho - RomaGervinho is the latest Roma winger to become target of a Premier League club, this time interest coming from Aston Villa.

The Ivorian joins 23-year-old teammate Adem Ljajic to become the second Giallorossi wide man to be courted by the Birmingham-based club this summer.

According to the Daily Star,  although Roma have suffered several failures to offload the former Arsenal man this summer, the Lupi quickly rejected Aston Villa’s offer because it was too low.

Following the arrival of Iago Falque and Mohamed Salah to the Olimpico, coach Rudi Garcia’s list of wide attacking players has grown significantly and the Giallorossi have been reported to intend to unload some of them from the wage bill or try to find them first-team football opportunities elsewhere before the end of the transfer window.

In addition to Gervinho and Ljajic, Corriere dello Sport has reported that yet another Roma wide man Juan Iturbe is also a target of Premier League attention, more specifically from Everton.

Last year, the trio, which has cost the Giallorossi approximately €41 million over the last two summers, scored or provided for  21 of Roma’s 54 Serie A goals, which ranked as just the ninth best attack in the league.
