Mario Balotelli’s agent Mino Raiola has claimed Sampdoria will not receive a discounted price for the struggling Liverpool striker.

With the Blucerchiati’s president Massimo Ferrero recently expressing his desire at acquiring the much-maligned attacker for a discounted price, Raiola has hit back as such claims and insisted that there was ‘no way’ a move would eventuate.

“How did this story come about? Just ask President Ferrero. If you ask for a discount, it means that you already know how this story will end. There is in no way Balotelli is going to Sampdoria,” he told Il Secolo XIX.

Meanwhile, fellow Italian sides the likes of Bologna and Lazio have also emerged as candidates for the Italian flop.

Balotelli arrived at Anfield from AC Milan for €20 million last summer, but has failed to knuckle down a regular starting spot under Brendan Rodgers, scoring just the one goal in 16 Premier League appearances.

Furthermore, the summer signings of Roberto Firmino, Danny Ings and Christian Benteke have only further compounded the attacker’s woes as he looks destined for the exit door.

I do wish you so called journalists would stop referring to Balotelli as a flop. Alright his time at Anfield has not been his best but it can’t all be put on his shoulders. His type of striker relies on a certain kind of midfielder to feed him and that has not happened at Liverpool. He is not a flop, more a square peg trying to fit in a round hole.
