Roma‘s Italo Zanzi is looking forward to facing some of Europe’s biggest names this season in the Champions League.
The Giallorossi are in the same group as reigning champions Barcelona, Bayer Leverkusen and BATE Borisov for the 2015/16 tournament, and Zanzi is excited about fixtures with a club like Barcelona.
“It is a great opportunity for us to play against the best teams,” he told Mediaset.
“Especially against the European champions but the other sides are also strong,” he added.
The Italians were in the same group as Bayern Munich and Manchester City last season and, despite failing to make it to the knockout rounds, Zanzi thinks those games will help the side this term.
“We learnt so much last year, that experience will help us this year,” he said.
Roma’s first Champions League game this season will be played on September 16.
