New AC Milan coach Sinisa Mihajlovic will have to wait to complete his move for Roma defender Alessio Romagnoli until Edin Dzeko’s arrival at the capital has been finalised.
With the 46-year-old is set on rebuilding a squad that underachieved last term after finished the Serie A in 10th place and, as a result, the Giallorossi centre-back has been earmarked as a key part of their summer recruitment.
However, with the Serie A season just weeks away, Corriere della Sera are suggesting that the 20-year-old will not be allowed to leave Rome until the Manchester City frontman has completed his move.
The move will see the Italian Under-21 international reunited with Mihajlovic after excelling under the Serbian while on loan at Sampdoria last season where he made 30 Serie A appearances, scoring on two occasions.
