AC Milan defender Alessio Romagnoli looks set to make his debut for the club on Monday.

The Italian U-21 international has moved to Milan from Roma for a fee of €25 million following a protracted series of negotiations between the two clubs.

According to Tuttosport, Romagnoli will be paired alongside Philippe Mexes in the heart of the Rossoneri defence during the Coppa Italia fixture against Serie B side Perugia on Monday.

The 20-year-old worked with Diavolo coach Sinisa Mihajlovic while on loan at Sampdoria last season where he impressed many observers of Serie A with his commanding and composed displays.

During his time at Il Doria Romagnoli made 30 appearances scoring two goals in the process.

Despite being a Roma youth product like Francesco Totti, Daniele De Rossi and Alessandro Florenzi, Romagnoli made just 14 senior appearances for the Giallorossi.
