Emiliano VivianoEmiliano Viviano has revealed the team’s disappointment after their heavy defeat in the Europa League.

Sampdoria lost 4-0 to Vojvodina last week in the first leg of their Europa League 3rd qualifying round tie, leaving them on the brink of elimination but Viviano believes not everything is lost.

“The players are ashamed of the result last week in the Europa League.” Viviano told Samp Tv.

“We have taken a missive blow and the team are devastated about the result.

“We watched the game back to try and learn where we went wrong.

“We are so disappointed as we worked hard for a month in preparation for the game.

“Now we owe it to our fans to win the second leg and try to achieve the impossible.

“We can still qualify but we will have to be perfect.”
