Dimitar Berbatov is reportedly back on Sampdoria’s radar as the club consider adding the Bulgarian to their squad before the transfer window closes.
The 34-year-old is a free agent after Monaco refused to extend his contract which ended in June earlier this year and with Eder strongly linked with a move away from the Stadio Luigi Ferraris, the Blucerchiati will be keen on securing his services.
According to calciomercato.it, the former Manchester United forward could be snapped up within the last hours of the transfer window.
The striker however is not short of options and the Genoese club will definitely face stiff competition from Premier League clubs as they also look to tempt him with a move back to England.
Berbatov netted 13 goals in 38 appearances during his time with Monaco for the 2014-15 Ligue 1 season.
