Denis AtalantaThe Argentine Atalanta striker German Denis has been linked with a move to Sampdoria.

The forward has been linked with a move away from the Stadio Atleti Azzurri d’Italia thanks to his impressive performances as a key member of the La Dea squad and fellow Serie A side Sampdoria have shown an interest in the striker.

Sky Sport Italia reports that the 33-year-old could be added to Walter Zenga’s squad for the 2014-15 season should he leave Atalanta with the Blucerchiati keen to add a new striker following Stefano Okaka’s move to Anderlecht and the humiliating 4-0 defeat to Vojvodina in the Europa League.

A move to his home country is also on the cards with Argentine Primera Division side Independiente expressing interest in him, Denis previously played for them between 2006 and 2008.

Denis joined Atalanta permanently in 2012 from Udinese after a successful loan spell in Bergamo and he has 52 goals to his name from his total of 142 appearances for La Dea.
