Sampdoria could offer striker Eder a new contract.

The Brazilian-born Italian international is a key part of the Blucerchiati’s squad which has led to speculation of him transferring away from the side, with Inter in pole position at the moment.

Sky Sport Italia reports, however, that the 28-year-old’s current club might put an end to all the rumours by offering him a new contract to secure his services for at least another season.

Should Eder decide to leave the side, though, the Nerazzurri are still favourites to sign him, as Sampdoria would not reject a move should the player want it.

Since joining the club in 2012, Eder has nettedĀ 39 goals in 117 games and also received a call-up for the national squad by coach Antonio Conte, scoring on his Azzurri debut.

His current contract with the side ends in the summer of 2017.
