Juventus midfielder Stefano Sturaro is adamant that his side will improve ahead of their Supercoppa clash against Lazio, after suffering yet another another pre-season loss.

The 22-year-old midfielder was brought on in the first half after an unfortunate injury to new signing Sami Khedira, though he failed to change the eventual outcome of the match as Juve lost the game 2-0, a result that the Italian promises will not happen again in their upcoming fixture.

“We did well the first 20 minutes, but after we went down to 10 men, we really struggled,” Sturaro told JTV.

“However, we have only had two weeks of hard work unlike the teams that we have played so far, hence the results. If you look at Lazio, they too lost some of their friendly matches.

“There’s just one week left now until our first ‘real’ game and I’m sure the result will be different.

“This is because we will become stronger and more focused during this final week of training.”
