Torino beat Fiorentina 3-1 at the Stadio Olympic in Turin to maintain their 100% record this season.

The home side struggled to deal with Fiorentina’s high pressure play and the Viola took the lead after just ten minutes courtesy of Marcos Alonso.

However, Giampiero Ventura’s men turned the game on its head in the second half with two goals in two minutes by Emiliano Moretti and Fabio Quagliarella that caught the visitors completely by surprise.

Daniele Baselli wrapped things up with a long range strike to take the Granata joint top of the Serie A table.

Fiorentina started the game very well pressing the hosts heavily and made an early breakthrough in the tenth minute.

Nikola Kalinic’s header from a Borja Valero cross forced a save out of Torino keeper Davide Padelli but the Torino keeper could do nothing to prevent Alonso tapping in from close range to score his second goal in as many games.

The Spaniard celebrated with a disrespectful gesture which incensed the Torino fans.

The away side could have had a penalty minutes later when referee Paolo Tagliavento pointed to the spot for a foul on Kalinic before going back on his decision with the help of his assistants.

Quagliarella came closest to levelling the score before half-time but his header was brilliantly saved by Ciprain Tatarusanu.

Torino picked up the tempo in the second half thanks in part to Ventura’s substitutions and equalised in the 69th minute with Moretti nodding the ball into the net following a corner.

The goal got the home crowd going and the turnaround was completed two minutes later with Fiorentina caught out with a counter attack and Quagliarella scoring from a pass by Bruno Peres.

The home side then put the tie to bed in the 77th minute with Baselli beating Tatarusanu with a sweetly struck shot from 30 yards to record his first goal for the club.
