New Roma signing William Vainqueur has praised his new surroundings after joining the Giallorossi on deadline day.
The former French midfielder has moved to Rudi Garcia’s side, leaving Dinamo Moscow after a single season.
Speaking to ASRoma.it, Vainqueur was effusive about the move.
“I’m here because Roma are a great team,” he explained, “and Rome is a beautiful city.
“I will give my all for the shirt, which is very important. I have been told a lot about the Giallorossi supporters, some of the most beautiful supporters out there.”
Vainqueur made his breakthrough in his native France with Nantes, playing five seasons before earning a move to Standard Liege.
He will have two weeks to get used to his new team-mates over the international break before the Giallorossi visit Frosinone in their third game of the season.
