Roma’s potential deal with Paris Saint-Germain for full-back Lucas Digne could be under threat due to a late offer from West Ham United.

The Giallorossi currently have a problem at left-back with Ashley Cole currently the only option in that position after they sold Jose Holebas to Watford earlier this summer.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, Digne’s move to the Stadio Olimpico will be sanctioned once Les Parisiens complete their signing of Cristian Ansaldi, from Zenit St Petersburg.

However, in a late turn of events the Hammers have offered €8 million for Digne as they look to strengthen their defence ahead of the 2014-15 season.

The French international has previously worked under Rudi Garcia at Lille, in fact it was Garcia who gave Digne his first-team debut with Les Dogues.

Digne managed 23 appearances during the 2014-15 season as the understudy to Maxwell.
