AC Milan legend Demetrio Albertini says that the club are missing the presence of midfield man Riccardo Montolivo.
The Italian was forced to miss the Rossoneri’s opening two fixtures of the Serie A season, and Albertini says his absence was a factor in the club picking up only three points in total.
“For the midfield, the return of Montolivo [is important]” the 44-year-old told Sky Sport Italia.
“He is the man who has been missed the most in the recent period.”
Albertini was also hopeful for new signing Mario Balotelli, who rejoins the club after a nightmare spell in England with Liverpool.
“Balotelli? It all depends on him, as he is no longer a kid.
“He’s lost many opportunities to demonstrate his true value, he must understand and adapt to football being a team game.
“He has all the characteristics to do well.”
