The agent of Polish winger Jakub Blaszczykowski said his move to Fiorentina is an important move for his career.

The 29-year-old joined La Viola on loan this summer from Borussia Dortmund and his agent, Wolfgang Voege, says it was an important move in terms of improving his footballing career, as the German side have added new players to their squad who would compete with Blaszczykowski for a place in their starting line-up.

“Borussia Dortmund have made a new team with many new players,” Voege told Radio Bruno.

“It is important that he plays more for a place in the Poland national team.”

Despite the player’s popularity and interest from other German clubs, he said they are happy in Serie A and want to stay longer than just this season.

“He is very happy in Florence and we hope to stay for three to four years,” he said.

“There were other offers from Germany, including Hertha Berlin and Hannover, but we wanted something new.”
