Allan-NapoliNapoli midfielder Allan has revealed that he’s disappointed with his team’s 2-2 away draw with Empoli on Sunday but admits that he’s happy to have scored his first Serie A goal for the Ciucciarelli.

The 24-year-old’s debut goal in the second half managed to bring the Partenopei level with their hosts, though in the end they were only able to escape with one point, and the former Udinese man confirms that the San Paolo outfit will continue to work on improving in training as they now prepare to face Club Brugge in the Europa League on Thursday.

Allan spoke to Mediaset Premium after the draw with Empoli about his goal and Napoli’s need for better results, while also commenting on his mission to find success with the Neapolitan side.

“The one point is not enough,” said the Brazilian. “We tried to win the game in every way during the second half, but we didn’t succeed.

“Now we’re looking ahead because we have an important game on Thursday. The coach told us to play calmly and move the ball quickly.

“Of course we’ll be working on starting the match better, this is what we’ll focus on in training.

“I’m happy with my goal but there is regret for the result.

“Is there pressure at Napoli? All of the players in the Serie A dream of playing at a team like this.

“I hope to do better here than we did at Udine because there’s a completely differently reality here.”
