Portuguese giants Benfica are reportedly interested in signing Red Star Belgrade striker Luka Jovic, who is also a target for Serie A club Torino.
Il Toro have been monitoring the Serbian for a long time now and enquired about his availability in the summer with the knowledge that the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea were also interested.
However, in a turn of events it appears that last season’s Portuguese champions are the closest to his signature with Red Star’s general manager confirming the interest.
“Benfica want the player, they are interested in his performances and thats why they have already scouted him,” Stefan Pantovic said in an interview with O Jogo.
Jovic is still only 17-years-old, but despite this he has already managed to score 10 goals in 32 appearances for the Crveno-beli.
