Udine - BolognaUdinese came from behind to beat Bologna 2-1 at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara in Serie A on Sunday afternoon.

The hosts went in front courtesy of an a tap-in from Anthony Mounier but Udinese came back in the second half with goals from Emmanuel Badu and Duvan Zapata.

Neither side threatened to go close in the opening exchanges of the game with both defences coming out on top.

The deadlock was broken shortly after the half-hour mark after Luca Rizzo did well on the right-hand side getting past Manuel Iturra and crossing towards Mounier who finished from close range for his second goal in consecutive appearances.

The first half fizzled out with the home side controlling the game with Franco Brienza blazing a shot into the stands from a Mattia Destro lay-off.

Udinese manager Stefano Colantuono decided to bring on Francesco Lodi and veteran striker Antonio Di Natale at half-time but the Zebrette continued to struggle to create chances.

Nevertheless they got themselves back on level terms just after the hour mark when Edenilson’s long pass reached Badu who took two bites at the cherry to steer the ball home after Antonio Mirante had made a brilliant save from his first shot.

Bologna spurned a decent chance to re-take the lead as Brienza failed to make the most of a mistake by Udinese keeper Orestis Karnezis and his shot was put out for a corner.

The game livened up after that with both teams having chances to go in front.

Udinese took the lead with six minutes from the end with Zapata tucking the ball from a deflected shot from Badu.

The Colombian injured himself in the process of scoring the goal and Udinese were reduced to ten men but they hung on for a win that moves them away from the relegation zone.
