Carpi are pondering the decision to sack their coach Fabrizio Castori.

The Biancorossi have endured a difficult start to the Serie A season, losing both of their opening two games to Inter and to Sampdoria and have conceded seven goals in the process.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, if Castori fails to get a result against Palermo his job could be under serious threat with the Carpi hierarchy already lining up Devis Mangia, who has previously worked with Biancorossi director of football Sean Sogliano at Palermo.

The Modena based club are also considering former Palermo and Watford boss Giuseppe Sannino.

Castori has been a coach since the 1980’s and has previously been at the helm of Cesena, Varese and Ascoli.

Last season he led Carpi to an historical achievement as they won promotion to Serie A for the first time.
