AC Milan midfielder Nigel de Jong sees the Rossoneri as a team with new found and good spirit, ahead of their Saturday clash with Palermo.
Sinisa Mihajlovic’s team are looking to replicate their performance against Inter in the Derby della Madonnina, but replacing zero points with three.
“We have good spirit,” the Dutchman stated during his pre-match press conference whilst sitting alongside his coach.
“This year we really want to push on and do well,” he added
“We’re a different team from the previous years.”
De Jong remains with his horns firmly locked against teammate Riccardo Montolivo, with only one getting the nod on matchday due to their similar roles.
“We have a very competitive team.”
“During the week the coach will decide who plays, and who will not.
“It is a squad of 25, with 11 on the pitch, so we must stay positive and do our best.
“The coach is helping us to get the best from every player and I’m confident we’ll do better.
“We will go into the field tomorrow and try to gain the three points.”
