Eder - Bulgaria v ItalySampdoria striker Eder has reported for Italy duty and is ready to give his all for the Italy national team.

The Brazil-born striker has been called up to the Azzurri squad for the European Championship qualifiers against Malta and Bulgaria.

Eder will link up with fellow Sampdoria man Roberto Soriano, though has admitted he isn’t guaranteed a starting position in coach Antonio Conte’s side.

Speaking to reporters at a press conference, Eder stated: “I’m glad to be here and happy to be with Soriano. I don’t know if I will get a starting spot. I don’t think Conte has decided the starting line-up but I will give everything for this shirt.”

With the transfer window shut, the 28-year-old was also pressed on the most impressive signings to arrive in Serie A.

“The best deals in my opinion were for Edin Dzeko by Roma and Mario Mandzukic for Juventus.”
