Italy v BulgariaAn expected starting line-up for Italy’s game against Malta has been revealed.

The Azzurri host Malta on Thursday night in a Euro 2016 qualifying match and have been preparing for the match in Florence, where the Italian coach Antonio Conte has been experimenting with his tactics.

Premium Sport have reported an expected starting line-up for the side based on the work done in training, with Conte likely to opt for a 4-3-3 formation.

Manuel Pasqual is expected to play in defence instead of Domenico Criscito, while Andrea Pirlo returns to midfield despite moving to MLS this summer.

Toronto FC’s Sebastian Giovinco picked up an injury after being named in the squad and so will miss out.

Graziano Pelle is expected to return to the Italian frontline, with Franco Vazquez more likely to be picked over Antonio Candreva alongside the Southampton centre-forward.

Expected starting XI:

Buffon; Pasqual, Chiellini, Bonucci, Darmian; Bertolacci, Pirlo, Verratti; Eder, Pelle, Vazquez.
