bonera villarrealFormer AC Milan defender Daniele Bonera says he continues to support his old club.

The Italian international left the Rossoneri this summer to join Villarreal after nine years at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

“They were wonderful years,” Bonera told Milan Channel.

“I feel privileged to have played for a great club like Milan for so many years,” the defender added.

“I will continue to follow and support the Rossoneri, I hope this is a successful season for them.”

The 34-year-old then spokeĀ about his new project in Spain, saying it will take time to get used to but he is looking forward to a new footballing style.

“It’s been sudden, I got a call and thought about my family and thought it was time to try a new experience abroad,” he said.

“The football is very fast here, I hope to quickly find my best physical condition.”
