Following his transfer from Juventus to Olympique Marseille, Paolo De Ceglie spoke of his delight at moving to the famous Ligue 1 club.

The 28-year-old defender joins former Bianconeri teammate Mauricio Isla, as the pair both swapped Turin for Marseille before the closure of the transfer window, while Mario Lemina went in the opposite direction.

“I am very happy, first impressions are very good and Marseille are a big club,” De Ceglie told Marseille’s official website.

“The fans are passionate and I think this is a great thing because it means they are always by your side.

“We have to play to win every game, and results will follow.”

De Ceglie’s Marseille side are struggling this season with just three points from four games. They have lost every game bar a 6-0 thrashing of Troyes.
