Hamza HamzaogluGalatasaray coach Hamza Hamzaoglu insisted that Felipe Melo and Alex Telles wouldn’t have joined Inter if he had been in charge of club transfers.

The Brazilian duo moved to the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on deadline day to be reunited with former Cimbom coach Roberto Mancini and the Turkish coach believes they will be missed.

“All the operations in the transfer market developed on the final day and Inter presented an offer that was hard to refuse,” said Hamzaoglu according to Fcinternews1908.it.

“I never wanted to let them go, but Melo and Telles were determined.

“I am happy for them because they will have space to grow, especially Telles.

“We analysed all bids in the best way possible.

“Maybe one day they will be able to return to us, I certainly hope so.”

Telles made 22 appearances for Galatasaray during the 2014-15 season while Melo featured 20 times and both scored one goal for the Istanbul-based giants.
