Roma coach Rudi Garcia concedes that his side lacked balance and made too many errors in their 3-2 loss to BATE Borisov in the Champions League on Tuesday evening.

The Giallorossi found themselves three goals behind just 30 minutes in the game and despite mounting a two goal comeback they now remain at the bottom of Group E with just a single point.

“We got the first half all wrong,” Garcia told Sport Mediaset after the game.

“Perhaps we lacked balance because we conceded too many goals in the same fashion.

“We were punished by their clinical finishing and good fortune. Their effort went in off the bar, ours didn’t.

“However, we did make more mistakes than them tonight.

The Frenchman then looked to the future, deciding to take a positive spin on the result.

“We deserved a point at least, but not the win.

“Thankfully Barcelona’s victory leaves us two points off second place, which remains our target to qualify from the group.”
