Genoa are on the verge of signing 19-year-old forward Bruno Gomes from Sport Club Internacional pending an approval from FIFA.

The player has already arrived in Italy following the Grifone’s completion of all appropriate paperwork prior to transfer deadline day, and the club has also received the blessing of the FIGC to complete the deal.

According to Tuttomercatoweb.com, Gomes completed his medical on Monday with the club and is now waiting on consent from FIFA to allow him to finialise his transfer to Genoa.

The player has been linked with a move to the likes of Manchester United and Juventus in recent seasons, and is now set to gain valuable playing time with the Rossoblu.

Gomes earned top scorer honours in the Campeonato Paulista U-15 and U-17 seasons with Desportivo Brazil in Sao Paolo.
