Torino captain Kamil Glik has revealed that he’s still happy with Il Toro and confirmed his willingness to talk about a renewal with the club in the near future.

The 27-year-old, whose current contract with the Granata is set to expire in June 2017, had been steadily linked with a possible move to Manchester United over the summer but ultimately decided to remain in Turin and he now admits that he has no plans of leaving the team any time soon.

Glik spoke to Polish newspaper Przeglad Sportowy about his current situation at Torino and commented on the probability of him continuing his career at the Serie A club for many more years to come.

“Until now there was no time for talks, given the pressing commitments, but now we can sit at the table and discuss what comes next,” said the Poland international, who arrived at the Italian side from Palermo in 2011.

“My contract with Torino is still valid for two seasons, but I understand that the club wants to extend the agreement, for safety reasons.

“I’m fine here in Turin, things are calm here and the club is in a great financial situation.

“Torino want to secure me in a long-term deal? Let’s see what happens. Until I get a specific offer, I cannot comment.”
