Palermo boss Giuseppe Iachini believes that his team must be careful in their away clash against AC Milan on Saturday despite their points advantage in the Serie A standings.

The Eagles are yet to be beaten this term with two wins and one draw thus far while the Rossoneri have earned just one victory this season, but the tactician admits that the Diavolo can still cause the Sicilian side problems if they show any lack any effort, especially with Sinisa Mihajlovic at the helm.

Iachini spoke during his pre-match press conference on Friday about Palermo’s positive start to the campaign and their previous league result against Carpi, while also commenting on the quality possessed by AC Milan.

“Our points advantage over Milan makes us happy,” said the 51-year-old. “Good results are something that can be a reason for satisfaction, though it doesn’t make us safe against Milan.

“Our draw with Carpi? We conceded two goals, with one of them being an own goal. So we had put the first one in our own net, while the second one was due to a mistake we made in dealing with the opponent.

“In the three matches so far we’ve only conceded those two goals against Carpi, even though they had less shots on target than our other opponents. This is how football is sometimes.

“AC Milan? They’re a team that we know a lot about, with a lot of players who can technically cause problems and change the game in an instant.

“Mihajlovic is a coach who takes all of the necessary chances to win. His teams are highly concentrated, so we’ll have to be very careful if we hope to earn a positive result.”
