It’s been a turbulent week for Inter after a busy end to the transfer window with numerous players brought in to the side and a few departing.

One of the key transfers was that of their Brazilian midfielder Hernanes moving to fierce rivals Juventus in the final few hours of transfer deadline day.

The 30-year-old has been a key player for the Nerazzurri in recent years but found himself on the bench in the opening game of the season.

The last day of the transfer window also saw the Milanese club bring in Alex Telles and Adem Ljajic on loan from Galatasaray and Roma, as well as permanently signing ex-Galatasaray midfielder Felipe Melo.

They also managed to finally secure the services of Croat Ivan Perisic, after tracking the winger for what seems like the whole summer.

It’s a complete revelation for the club who’ve not seen as many signings in a transfer window for a few years. It sparks the Mancini project as he begins to attempt to launch Inter back up to the top end of the table.

Stevan Jovetic has already proven his worth by netting twice at the weekend in their 2-1 win over Carpi as well as netting the winner in the first game against Atalanta.

But it’ll be interesting to see how all the new additions will fit into the side, with so many coming in to the team.

Alex Telles could prove to be the most important transfer yet. During pre-season it was obvious that the left-back position was a problem but the young Brazilian is well capable of filling the void.

Quick and intelligent, he offers something different to Danilo D’Ambrosio or Yuto Nagatomo and will be able to communicate well with countryman Miranda.

Inter seem so much more of a balanced side following the transfer window, strengthening more or less in every department. But, there is also the danger of a lack of chemistry depending on who will start for the team.

The defence will almost all be new additions, with Telles, Miranda, Jeison Murillo fitting in along with Davide Santon.

The midfield will more than likely see €30 million man Geoffrey Kondogbia playing alongside either Gary Medel or new signing Felipe Melo or maybe even youngster Assane Gnoukouri.

But it is the attacking midfield spots that is a mystery. Maybe Mancini is going to change formation to a 4-2-3-1 from his usual 4-3-1-2.

Jovetic and Mauro Icardi are both obviously going to be in the starting line-up when the Argentinian regains fitness but does that mean Marcelo Brozovic will be dropped and be replaced by Ljajic or Perisic?

However he thinks of fielding the team, the most important thing is that Inter have the players at their disposal to form a title challenge.

Although that is a bold thing to say following their 8th place finish last term, the Nerazzurri have finally found a strength in depth with the new squad that they haven’t had since they won the league back in 2010.

Juventus’ domination will have to end sooner or later and following their bad start, that can only give confidence to their competitors and I would definitely include Inter in that bracket following their summer.
