Inter defender Danilo D’Ambrosio is prepared to remain with the club and fight for his position after rejecting several offers over the summer transfer window.

The 26-year-old was widely expected to be departing the Nerazzurri following the arrival of left-back Alex Telles on loan from Turkish giants Galatasaray and the emergence of promising defender Federico Dimarco.

According to FcInterNews.it, D’Ambrosio had a variety of clubs vying for his signature over the summer, but ultimately snubbed those advancements in favour of remaining with Inter.

The report suggests English Premier League sides West Ham United, Watford, Aston Villa, Stoke City; Ligue 1 outfit, Marseille; Serie A teams Fiorentina, Sampdoria and Lazio were all courting the player in the hope of securing his services.

However, despite the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza side reportedly agreeing terms with a number of those clubs, the former Torino man was desperate to compete for a starting role under boss Roberto Mancini.

D’Ambrosio accumulated 32 appearances in all competitions during the 2014/15 season, scoring three goals and laying on a further three assists.
