Antonio Conte is adamant that Italy’s Euro 2016 qualifier against Malta is must win.
Italy are in second place in Group H with 12 points from six games and Conte also spoke about Andrea Pirlo’s inclusion in the squad.
“We have to beat Malta, we need to qualify for next year in France,” Conte told reporters.
“We are always expected to win, especially when we are playing at home.
“We have worked very hard over the last two days, focusing on different formations and tactics.
“Andrea [Pirlo] is a really asset for this group and he is a great example for his teammates.
“I am looking to play him alongside Marco Verratti as I believe they play well together.
“The return of [Mario] Balotelli depends on the player.”
Italy take on Malta on Thursday night in Florence.
