Hamsik - Napoli v WolfsburgJuventus are refusing to admit defeat in their pursuit of Napoli star Marek Hamsik, despite the transfer window closing.

The Bianconeri saw an offer for the Slovakian turned down by Napoli in the summer, and despite continued negotiations a breakthrough could never be reached, although the club are prepared to patiently wait until the window reopens to try again.

CalcioNews24 report that Juventus approaches for the midfielder will appear both in January and at the end of the season, as the club relentlessly target the player.

Despite adding playmaker Hernanes to the squad late on, early indicators suggest that Juventus will also consider moves for Mario Gotze and Javier Pastore once the transfer market reopens for business.

Juventus currently sit 17th in the Serie A table having lost their opening two fixtures, and return to action at home to league leaders Chievo next week.
