Juventus will reportedly re-enter negotiations for the Hajduk Split midfielder Andrija Balic in January after a move failed to materialise over the summer.

The 18-year-old Croatian, was being closely tracked by the Italian champions after Juventus had seen the likes of Arturo Vidal and Andrea Pirlo leave the club this summer, vacating options for their midfield.

According to Sportitalia, the Bianconeri had even reached an agreement in principle with the youngster’s agents.

However, the club halted the move as his club demanded a fee of €4 million while the Old Lady preferred a loan move with the right to make the transfer permanent.

The player was also reportedly not ready to relocate at the time.

Juventus will reportedly reopen negotiations for the midfielder in January, in an attempt to lure the player to Turin.
