New Lazio forward Ricardo Kishna has revealed that he’s happy with his fresh start at the capital city club and admits that he’s yet to fully prove his quality on the pitch.

The 20-year-old, who left Ajax to sign a four-year deal with the Biancocelesti in July, has already impressed his peers by scoring a goal in his debut for the Italian side during their 2-1 win over Bologna, but he insists that the best is yet to come as he keeps improving with the help of his team-mates.

Kishna spoke to AD about his arrival at Lazio and his excitement to continue this new journey in Italy, while also commenting on his departure from Ajax.

“I’m not surprised by my start in a Lazio shirt, I know what coach Stefano Pioli expects of me,” said the Dutch youngster.

“I owe a lot to the team because they really help me on the field. I’m doing very well in Italy, Lazio’s style of play suits me.

“Ajax? I’m sorry with the way things have turned out, but I’m glad that I’ve started this new path that has been giving me much satisfaction.

“I’ve been able to start from scratch at Lazio and I’m yet to demonstrate all of my value.

“The club is happy with the way I’m working and I’m happy with it as well.”
