Napoli-Lazio-HiguainNapoli will continue their journey in Group D of the 2015/16 Europa League when they go to Poland to on Thursday face Legia Warsaw at the Polish Army Stadium.

This will be the first ever meeting between the sides but both reached the knockout stage of the Europa League last season with Legia Warsaw losing to Ajax in the Round of 32 and Napoli being defeated by Dnipro in the semi-finals.

The home side have not won against Italian opposition for 25 years, whilst Napoli have only ever faced a Polish side twice.

More recently, the Partenopei have only lost two of their last seven away ties in the Europa League and will be buoyed by Saturday’s 2-1 victory over Juventus. They are also unbeaten in all competitions since losing away to Sassuolo on the opening day of the Serie A season.

Legia Warsaw are currently in second place in the Polish top flight and have only lost two in nine games in all competitions though they did lose on the opening match day of the Europa League to FC Midytlland.

Dominik Furman, on loan from Toulouse, is suspended for the hosts after being sent off late on in the loss against Midtylland and the Napoli defence will have to watch out in particular for prolific goalscorer Nemanja Nikolic up front.

Napoli coach Maurizio Sarri has a fully fit squad after it was revealed that Lorenzo Insigne’s injury scare was as not as bad as first thought. Despite this the Italian is expected to ring the changes on Thursday in preparation for the big match against away to AC Milan with many fringe players likely to start.
