New Lazio signing Alessandro Matri is delighted having made his deadline day move from AC Milan.
The 31-year-old completed his season-long loan deal to the Stadio Olimpico on Monday and has now stated that he cannot wait to begin working with Biancocelesti coach Stefano Pioli.
“I am very happy to be here,” said Matri as he greeted fans at the airport.
“I am prepared and cannot wait to start this new adventure.
“I will make myself available to Pioli and we have now have the time to work together.”
The Italian international spent the second half of last season on loan at Juventus, helping the Bianconeri lift their fourth consecutive Scudetto, as well as scoring an extra-time winner in the Coppa Italia final, of which was against his new side Lazio.
