MihajlovicAC Milan coach Sinisa Mihajlovic is wary of the arrival of Palermo to the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, but believes his side can earn all three points.

The Rossoneri are looking to bounce back on Saturday following a 1-0 Derby della Madonnina loss to Inter on matchday three.

“Palermo are a good team,” Mihajlovic stated during his pre-match press conference.

“We will have to repeat our performance against Inter to stand any chance in this match,” the Serbian added.

“As long as we continue the way we have been playing and following the path to success, we’ll play out a good game.”

AC Milan are yet to fully kick-start there 2015-16 campaign, but Palermo could be the place to start such a task.

“When you play at Milan there is always pressure, and that will remain until the very end of the season.

“We just have to stay calming knowing that if play our game results will come and it’ll give us a lot of motivation and satisfaction to kick on.”

A number of media outlets have elected to point out the poor displays from attacking midfielder Keisuke Honda, whilst waiting for the return of Jeremy Menez.

“Honda is a serious professional.”

“He has to apply himself better going forward.

“We do have a number of other players who can play in the playmaker role, such as Giacomo Bonaventura and Suso.

“As for Menez, he has definitely been one of the best at Milan the past year but I will not use his absence as an excuse.

“Injuries are a part of football and I hope he recovers quickly.

“However he is getting better, and will start to train soon.”

The amount of players residing in one position is also a problem for the defensive midfielders, with both Riccardo Montolivo and Nigel de Jong vying for a starting place.

“Both are very important players for Milan.”

“I’ll play both when I can, but they offer different characteristics on the pitch.

“I have to make my own choice – one will play, and then the other.

“I can only choose 25 players, which is why I have to make such tough choices, right or wrong.”

The conference concluded with Mihajlovic discussing how his side have prepared for the challenge of Palermo.

“Each game has its own plan.”

“The Derby we prepped ourselves knowing there was a lot more pressure on our soldiers.

“Tomorrow we go out and try to give it our all, to finish with our heads held high.”
