Former Inter president Massimo Moratti has said that the Nerazzurri have made some very good signings but that winning Serie A will be difficult.

The Biscione have overhauled their squad this summer bringing in the likes of Stevan Jovetic, Geoffrey Kondogbia and Miranda.

Speaking to Premium Sport, Moratti praised Inter’s activity. “I think it’s a good team, now it’s up to Roberto Mancini to put it together.

“Who has impressed me? Of the new signings I would say, Stevan Jovetic and of course, now I want to see Ivan Perisic. There are good feelings.”

Moratti did however say that a third placed finish was a realistic target for this season. “Champions? Again, it’s hard to put together. But I think we can finish third and also aim at something more.

“Mancini? He’s always been good at convincing presidents, but we had a good relationship. Now he has done well to convince the president to buy.

“Did I have a hand in the purchases? No, not this time.”
