Inter defender Jeison Murillo says he has had to adapt his style of play to suit the Nerazzurri’s more offensive game.

The Colombian international centre-back joined the Stadio Guiseppe Meazza club in February from Granada for €8 million plus €2m in bonuses, but stayed with the La Liga side until the end of the 2014/15 season, before completing the move to the Milanese giants in July.

The Biscione have started the season with two wins and the Cali born defender is delighted with how the new campaign has started.

“Things are going well, I have played two games and the results have been favorable,” Murillo told Win Sports.

“Thank God I am adapting to the guidelines and the ideas of the coach [Roberto Mancini].

“Inter are a very offensive team, I realized that just after I arrived, I have to run a lot more.

“At Granada we were a lot more defensive and here I am being asked to do a lot more.

“There is a lot more pressure here at Inter but we must remain calm and learn to trust each other and we can have a great season.”
