napoli bannersA group of Napoli fans took to the club’s training base to express their displeasure at the ownership.

The supporters were angry at their side’s failure to complete the signing of Roberto Soriano from Sampdoria before the deadline and a general lack of investment over the summer.

“We are [sporting director Cristiano] Giuntoli, to your surprise we are saving on spending,” declared one sarcastic banner put up by irate fans overnight as discovered by NapoliMagazine.

“ADL [president Aurelio De Laurentiis] is without any form of defence, game over,” read the other painted bed sheet.

A group of Napoli supporters had previously called on fellow fans to boycott the 2-2 draw at home to Sampdoria due to their frustration with the ownership and a perceived lack of signings during the transfer window.

The Partenopei are yet to win in the 2015-16 Serie A season and gave up a lead away at Sassuolo before going on to lose and a two-goal advantage was squandered as Samp came back to draw at the Stadio San Paolo.
