Roma defender Norbert Gyomber has said he is looking forward to learning from club captain Francesco Totti and is aiming to play as many games as possible despite the competition for places at the Stadio Olimpico.

The Slovakia international has joined the Giallorossi on a year-long loan deal from Serie B side Catania and stated he is looking to break into coach Rudi Garcia’s team as soon as possible.

“I’d like to play as much as possible, but I realise it will not be easy because in a great team the competition [for places] is great,” said the 23-year-old as reported by Vocegiallorossa.it.

“I will do my utmost to convince the coach anyway.

“Totti? The fans adore him, to them he is not a demi-god but a god.

“I’m looking forward to learning a lot from him.”
