Juventus was fuelled by his belief that he would not have been able to develop to the fullest of his potential as compared to remaining in Germany.
The long term Bianconeri target moved to Wolfsburg from Schalke in a club-record deal, ending all speculation that he might don the colours of the reigning Serie A champions. The youngster however believes that he would still need time in order to adapt to his new surroundings.
“I choose Wolfsburg because I think I can develop best here,” Draxler told reporters during his unveiling as a Wolfsburg player.
“I do not think Italy and Juventus would have been the right environment for me.”
