Parma‘s Serie D opener against Union Arzignanochiampo, captain Alessandro Lucarelli admits his side are expecting to win the title.
Following their demise and demotion from Serie A, the Crociati will play this season in the highest non-professional division in Italy.
“The feeling is positive,” admitted Lucarelli, at an event for charity ADMO,
“We want to start right now because we want to win the championship, with all due respect to the other teams.
“We have to have the right attitude right from the start.”
Parma had spent six seasons in Serie A before their relegation, with Lucarelli the only player in the current squad that has represented the club before.
After the trip to Arzignano, the Ducali will return to the Stadio Ennio Tardini next weekend, with Villafranca set to visit.
ADMO are a charity that look to raise money and awareness of bone marrow donation.
