Roma attacker Victor Ibarbo has arrived in England for a medical with Premier League side Watford.

The Hornets have invested heavily in their squad over the summer, having recently been promoted to the top-flight under the tutelage of owner Giampaolo Pozzo, who also owns Serie A side Udinese.

Colombian international Ibarbo has arrived at Heathrow, according to Press Association, and will undergo a medical and complete the loan move before the English transfer deadline passes at 19:00 CET.

Perhaps a surprise to some, Ibarbo had seem destined to play a role in the Giallorossi squad in 2015/16 after signing from Genoa in January, but reports emerged of his impending loan last night as Roma look to offload the winger after bringing in Mohamed Salah and Iago Falque.

However, Juan Iturbe was chosen to remain at the Stadio Olimpico, in favour of new Inter forward Adem Ljajic and 25-year-old Ibarbo, who began his career at Atletico Nacional before moving to Liguria with the Grifone.
