Sampdoria president in legal dispute over building works

Massimo Ferrero SampdoriaRoman prosecutors are reportedly requesting that the Sampdoria president Massimo Ferrero has some of his assets seized.

The film producer stands accused of carrying out illegal building work at his apartment in Rome’s residential district of Parioli.

According to the Corriere della Sera, Ferrero is in involved in a dual with Roman attorneys after they indicted him in 2011 for proceeding with demolition on historic parts of his property without proper permission.

A verdict is expected to be reached on November 18.

Prosecutors have also reportedly requested that €1.2 million worth of funds in Ferrero’s bank accounts are blocked after his company Blu Cinematografica was accused of evading corporate taxes.

Ferrero’s legal representative insisted that his client is innocent.

“My client has not done anything wrong in regard to building works,” said Vittorio Pisa.

“He provided for the removal of a sauna and the subsequent moving of an interior partition wall and no permission was needed for these works.”
